The Worldwide Intranet Challenge (WIC) is a free web based intranet benchmarking service that allows organizations to quickly and easily obtain feedback from their intranet users and then benchmark this feedback anonymously with other participating organisations.
Companies such as Ernst & Young, CVS Caremark, Australian Unity, Telecom New Zealand, Arup and Deloittes are among some of the organisations that have participated in the WIC.
Many have provided testimonials about the value of the WIC.
What does the WIC measure?
The WIC benchmarks the following topics:
- Completing work tasks
- Quantity & quality of intranet content
- Ease of finding information
- Employee interaction & engagement
- Intranet maintenance & change management
- Look & feel
- Performance & availability
To get started, it takes 2 minutes to register for the WIC and then you are on your way! You could have your intranet benchmark report anonymously comparing your intranet with other participating organisations within 2 weeks.
How does it work?
It's a simple process to participate in the WIC.
- Register for the Worldwide Intranet Challenge (WIC).
- After registration you will receive instructions and a link that will allow your intranet end users to complete a survey over the web.
- Your intranet users complete the survey (it takes about 5 minutes to complete the survey)
- You monitor survey responses in real time over the internet. You can download these responses if you like.
- After your intranet users have completed the survey, we email you a free benchmark report within 1-2 days showing how your feedback compares with other participating organisations.
- After receiving your benchmark report, you can use this information to develop an intranet improvement road map or a business case for improving your intranet.
