It mentions some interesting statistics provided by Forrester Research including the top 5 ways the intranet is being used and 5 ways the intranet can be improved. Also this useful web site provides you with a simple way to provide a twitter feed on your intranet. You could use it to track your company Twitter ID or tweets that mention your organization.
